Driving Theory Test

A series of 50 multiple choice questions, the pass mark is currently 43. The hazard perception element consists of a series of 14 video clips, each one a minute long and containing at least one developing hazard, which you have to identify. Scores are given on a sliding scale from 5 to 1 depending on how long you take to respond to seeing it. The pass mark is currently 44 out of 75.

A pass in both elements is required in the same test.

Theory Test Preparation

We would advise you to start studying asap, so that you can put this theory to good use in your practical driving sessions on the road. There are many books and dvds on the market to help with this element of training. The Driving Academy is of course there to help.
